Tsunami MuseumThe Tsunami Museum documents the flood catastrophe from 26.12.2004 and gives insights into the impact on the region around Khao Lak and the residents of the village Nam Kem.
NurseryEven the very little ones are cared for. The nursery can accommodate 12 children in between six months and four years. Their development is fostered and they are encouraged to be independent in a way that is appropriate for their individual ages.
KindergartenHere, around 25 children are looked after with loving care. The nursery with its six rooms reflects the six learning facilities of the BSfL. The children are already acquainted with the learning areas of the concept and are introduced to interdisciplinary learning and learning in real-life situations from an early age.
Whether for a meal, a snack in between or cool refreshment at the pool, our restaurant is open for you from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day. The meals are prepared mainly from regional produce and from organically grown fruit and vegetables of the Beluga School for Life. In the evening, our bar (complete with reading corner) invites you for a nightcap - and a good book!

Children´s shopKey rings, bracelets, mobiles made from shells: all the children’s self-made artworks can be purchased here – be it as a keepsake or a souvenir for at home. By buying one of the artworks you are simultaneously supporting the project “Children’s Shop” which teaches the children the basics for successful entrepreneurship.
The Hotel Training Institute (HTI) is led by Ajarn Manoon and offers graduates the opportunity of an 8-month practical training in the hospitality industry, encompassing the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Cookery.

TheatreThe amphitheatre as a centre point of the whole premises is often used for events and larger-scale festivals of the Beluga School for Life.
Centre for International CommunicationToday’s working world is unimaginable without the use of computers and the internet, so the children learn how to handle them. Also, the school magazine is designed and produced here and the children practice using internet radio and web design.
Children’s libraryIt offers the children a diverse choice of specialist and recreational literature.
Multi-functional fieldThe generous multi-functional field offers everyone plenty of room for sports, games and fun. The children mainly spend their free time here playing soccer or basketball or just for letting loose and having fun in the fresh air.

The Wellness area which has been lovingly furnished in a Thai style with two spas, a sun deck and two massage benches inspires you to relax. Pleasant smells, a traditional massage and subsequently, a soothing cup of tea along with fresh fruit will invigorate your senses and let you forget the stress of everyday life.

Body & Soul Body & Soul

Organic FarmingThis is one of the six learning facilities and consists of a herb and plant garden, fruit trees and a vegetable and herb bed which is led by the veterinarian Dr. Charniwat. During the preparation of the meals, cooking courses and fruit and vegetable carving courses, this entirely organic produce is used. Under the supervision of their carers the children also learn how to eat healthily and cook with fresh ingredients.

SchoolAround 120 children study in small groups in accordance with the school concept of entrepreneurial education. The children are taught in a practical-focused way in order to prepare them for a self-determined life. The learning objectives are a mixture of the national curriculum and a practical approach which is developed in projects and gives the students an interdisciplinary insight into different fields of work.

The pavilions are modern and comfortably furnished and have a view of the pool. Each cottage has a different name and was accordingly designed by the children based on the name. On the cosy outdoor terrace you can enjoy a mild summer night after an eventful day. You can choose between 2 person and 4 person pavilions.

ReceptionKhun Cartoon and Khun Tum are at your services at the reception from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. for any questions or wishes you may have. At posted times you will also meet our German-speaking tour guide Khun Ja here who will answer all queries concerning land and folk as well as give you tips for day tours that will make your stay an unforgettable experience.
Pavilion of ReligionsIn each of the three rooms, another of the world religions Buddhism, Islam and Christianity are portrayed in the form of pictures and religious symbols and texts. In the fourth room the “global ethic” is explained, which is the striving for a mutual dialogue between various religions.
Centre for Culture & DevelopmentHere the children are offered projects which are meant to bring them closer to their culture as well as teach them how to respect and preserve it, but also to further develop it. Some examples of the choices available are “traditional Thai dance”, “drama” and “music & arts”.
This is the living area of the children and advisers of the Beluga School for Life, in which they play, eat and sleep. Here you will find the project devised by children for children "Beauty and hair salon," with which they embellish each other. Out of respect for the children and in regard of their privacy and the right to a place of retreat, we ask our guests not to enter this area.

Centre for Health & NutritionAs well as the school canteen and the restaurant kitchen, the bakery is also part of centre. Part of the training of the Hotel Trainings Institutes (HTI) takes place at the Centre for Health & Nutrition. If you book one of the cooking courses, together with Head Chef Na you will whip up a delicious Thai meal.
